Wife.
Mother. Book Lover.
Yeah,
these are a few of the titles that you can hang on
me. As you can tell by the cute picture of our puppy,
Pixel, I'm also a dog lover. Living in Southern California
with my handsome hubby, and teenage son, we're outnumbered
by the animals in our house. Rounding out the four-legged
creatures are Coco and Sadie, our othr pups as well
as Macaroni, our cat, and Zanshin, the turtle. No
worries though, when my other four kids come back
home to celebrate birthdays or holidays the humans
outnumber the critters.
Here
are some things that you probably don't know about
me:
1.
I'm a graphic and web designer. That was the inspiration
for Pixel's name. Our cat Macaroni is not orange.
She got her name because that was my youngest son's
favorite food at the time.
2.
Brainiac Zac was inspired by a real person. (Check
the book's dedication to find out who that young man
is.)
3.
Pink is my favorite color. (Did you guess that one
already?)
4.
I'm a black belt and karate instructor. Interestingly
enough, I share my birthday with Sensei Funakoshi
who is the founder of Shotokan karate. (I think that's
a cool coincidence.)
5.
The first money that I made for writing was when I
was around the age of ten. I used to put on an old
long sleeved shirt and pound away on the typewriter
composing stories for a family newsletter. I forced
my family to buy copies.
